TRAININGS

Teaching about Holocaust history, the danger of othering, and the importance of kindness has never been more important, and Holocaust Museum LA is here to support the work you do in the classroom. Holocaust Museum LA remains a steadfast resource, ready to equip you with the necessary tools, resources, and worksheets to address the social relevance of this history. Whether you're teaching in person or navigating the virtual world of online education, our resources are designed to help you tackle this sensitive subject.

Learn how to implement Holocaust education into your classroom through Museum tours by our highly trained docents, survivor talks, and specialized lesson plans tailored to align with the Common Core State Standards. Holocaust Museum LA offers trainings on a variety of topics including  a sobering journey with our new Augmented Reality (AR) application, offering an unflinching look into the Sobibor death camp. Learn strategies for introducing Holocaust education to fourth and fifth graders using Lois Lowry's "Number The Stars." And, critically, understand how to address and counteract antisemitism within your classroom. Join us for Holocaust Museum LA's free teacher trainings—and educate to fight hate.

Free teacher guides, education resources for classrooms, and lunch provided at each session. Attendees will also take a docent-led tour of the Museum. $150 stipend available for current teachers who attend in-person sessions.

Maximum 40 spots available per session – first come first serve.
