DONOR-
ADVISED FUND
What is a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)?
-
A DAF is a charitable giving account where donors contribute funds to a sponsoring organization and recommend grants to charities of their choice, retaining advisory privileges.
-
It's a way to simplify charitable giving.
How Does It Work?
-
Donors contribute to a fund, which is then managed by the sponsoring Community Foundation or Financial Institution. They can then recommend grants to a 501c3 (non-profit organization) of their choice.
Benefits of Using a DAF:
-
Tax-deductible contributions, tax-free growth of assets, and the ability to support multiple charities over time.
Easy Steps to Recommend a Grant:
To recommend a grant to support our work, please contact your DAF sponsoring organization and provide the following information:
-
Holocaust Museum LA
-
EIN46-05-3824
-
The amount of the recommended grant.
