Henri Parens escaped from the Holocaust at the age of 12, and went on to become a globally recognized psychoanalyst, dedicating his life's work to the prevention of prejudice. ZAIDA, the documentary film about his life, was made by his granddaughter.

ZAIDA has reached audiences across the country, screening at The Chagrin Documentary Film Festival, The Boston Jewish Film Festival, Indy Film Fest, St. Louis International Film Fest, The Twin Cities Jewish Film Festival, and at The Coronado Island Film Festival, where it won The Best Documentary Short Jury Award, and The Best Documentary Short Audience Award.

Sophie Parens: Director / Producer / Writer
Sophie Parens is a director and producer based in New York. Originally from Sleepy Hollow, she graduated from the New School for Drama with a concentration in Directing in 2017. She is the producer and director of the award-winning documentary short, Zaida. By day she does casting, producing, and directing for Simon and Schuster Audiobooks, and by night she is developing her next documentary.
Taylor Washington: Producer / Cinematographer / Editor
Taylor Washington is a director, cinematographer and Hawaiian shirt enthusiast based in Brooklyn, New York. Hailing from Austin, TX, Taylor comes from a music video background where he has directed 50+ videos across the United States for artists like Marian Hill, Cautious Clay and Of Montreal. In the commercial world, he's worked on content projects for clients ranging from Chase, to Southwest Airlines to Netflix, Amazon and Apple TV. Just last year he was selected for SHOOT’s New Director Showcase for his Irishman Spot. Taylor's appetite for travel has always directly influenced his work - he's worked in and visited 24 states and 14 countries. Currently, Taylor is a co-founder of Pan Up Productions in New York, and is represented by Threaded Pictures in Dallas, TX.
