That day, the United States of America changed in sweeping, fundamental ways that continue to shape our daily lives, affecting everything from foreign relations and homeland security to national identity. Recent events in Afghanistan have provided us with a stark reminder of the challenges we face as a nation and a world in the difficult days and years after 9/11. Two decades later, have we gained enough perspective to evaluate the impact of 9/11 on our society and heal the wounds of its aftermath? As the 20th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, join leaders from New Ground, a Muslim-Jewish partnership for change, 30 Years After, an Iranian-American Jewish organization, the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, and the USC Shoah Foundation for a discussion about the legacy of the September 11 attacks, the impact of 9/11 on communities of Middle Eastern and Central Asian descent, and how they can work together to fight hatred and bigotry.
