About
Andy shares the story of his grandfather, Abraham Weltman. Abraham was born in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Poland in 1922 and survived several camps, including Auschwitz. He survived with his brothers, taking every opportunity to make himself useful to the Nazis, doing jobs he wasn't necessarily trained or qualified for, but used as a tactic to survive. After liberation, he met his wife, also a survivor, and they moved to Belgium where they were married before moving to Canada and settling in the U.S.
