Time & Location
Jun 10, 2023, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Barnes & Noble, 189 The Grove Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90036, USA
Throughout history, ordinary people have been forced to leave their families and homes because of war, famine, slavery, intolerance, economic and political upheaval, or climate change. Escape: One Day We Had to Run is a picture book that features remarkable true stories of escape, showing how courageous people all around the world have overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles in their flight to freedom.
Graduates of Columbia College and Harvard College, Wah Chen and her identical twin sister Ming are based in Los Angeles and Hong Kong respectively. When they are not writing children’s books, they work in real estate development and education, are avid runners, and museum lovers. Wah will be joined in conversation by Dr. Priscilla Sands, former Head of the Marlborough School.
