About
Ernest and his family were first sent to live in the Munkacs Ghetto and later deported to Auschwitz-Birkenau. From there, Ernest, his brother, and his father were sent to Warsaw to clean up the aftermath of the Warsaw Uprising. Eventually, he was separated from his brother and father. Ernest was liberated by American troops in 1945 and after the war, he reunited with his surviving brother. Ernest immigrated to the United States in the 1950s and worked for Douglas Aircraft.
