Holocaust Survivor Talk: Yona Nadelman
Yona was a young child when Nazi Germany invaded her native Krakow, Poland. Soon after the invasion, she fled east with her parents and extended family. While her parents continued towards Siberia, Yona was left in the care of her grandparents.

When Nazi Germany invaded the Soviet Union in 1941, her grandparents secured her false papers. Yona lived on a farm under a false identity for the duration of the war. After she reunited with her parents, Yona lived in Paris and eventually settled in Los Angeles where she worked as a fashion designer.
