International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Marking the liberation of Auschwitz, Holocaust Remembrance Day is a time to reflect on the deep losses of the Holocaust. Our commemoration this year will be in partnership with the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute.

Join us on the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day for a special commemoration ceremony in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles which will include brief remarks from leaders of each organization, the reading of some of the names of the 8,000 Jews that were deported from Italy during the World War II, as well as a screening of two short films.
Venti Minuti Daniele Esposito (2021) takes us to Rome in October 1943, when in the early morning hours a knock on the door woke up Leo and Enzo who have twenty minutes to leave their home. Ritorno al Binario Di Ruggero Gabbai (2022) revisits a documentary from 1996 when Liliana Segre returned to track 21, a place where she was deported to Auschwitz.
