About
To commemorate the anniversary of Kristallnacht, in partnership with the Museum of Tolerance and the Czech Consulate Los Angeles, presenting the Los Angeles Premiere of the documentary film “Letters From Brno.” The film tells a powerful, personal story of parental love and sacrifice during the Holocaust. In a 45-year search for clues to her mother’s past, a woman uncovers the tragic fate of her grandparents through their letters written during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia. Opening remarks will be delivered by Ambassador Joroslav Olsa, Jr., Consul General of Czechoslovakia.
A conversation with the filmmaker and surviving family members will follow the screening.
“What an impressive, beautiful film. The letters of your grandparents are a revelation.”
