Shanghai Survivor: W. Michael Blumenthal

W. Michael Blumenthal narrowly escaped Nazi Germany when he was 13 and fled as a refugee to Shanghai where his family was eventually forced into the Hongkew Ghetto. He went on to become a business leader, economist, author, and political adviser who served as U.S. Secretary of the Treasury under President Jimmy Carter, and later as director of the Jewish Museum in Berlin.
