About

In April 1945, as the Allied forces approached, the Nazis loaded the Hess family onto what became known as the Lost Train. Initially bound for another camp, the transport repeatedly encountered bombed-out tracks, meandering for two weeks before it was ultimately liberated by Soviet troops. Marion Ein Lewin and Steven Hess will share their family's remarkable story of survival and the little-known history of the Lost Train.
