GENEALOGY RESEARCH

Holocaust Museum LA offers genealogy research for those interested in Jewish history, exploring their family roots, or learning more of the fate of those who experienced the Holocaust. 

Our different genealogy initiatives offer you the opportunity to commission research of your family tree and heritage or learn how to research yourself. All our research packages come with a custom-made PDF Holocaust Museum
LA booklet about the research which includes all findings and an explanation that can be easily shared with family. In addition to information, about your family, the booklet will include details about the geographic areas, Jewish history, and impact of the Holocaust in your ancestral cities.

Jewish Genealogy Class

This 90-minute session offers a group tutorial on the basics of Jewish genealogy research. This session will cover how to research American records, immigration records, and those that exist from “the Old Country” (European records). 

Introductory Research

In this basic package, we will survey one side of your family history and locate records that are available digitally. 

Advanced Research

The introductory research package in addition to working with international archives to obtain records that are not available digitally.
